What is ScriptFunnel for?
ScriptFunnel is for anyone interested in becoming a serious film or television writer. You've written a script, now let us do everything else.
ScriptFunnel is also for Entertainment Professionals seeking to tap the unsolicited script market and find undiscovered up-and-coming writers. We've done the daunting task of doing all the reading, leaving you to browse and discover only the top rated scripts submitted to us.
Why choose ScriptFunnel over the rest?
Because while other services offer one piece of coverage consisting of 1-2 pages, we offer two coverage reports each between 5-10 pages long.
Not only do we provide coverage on your script, but for qualified material we also offer you the opportunity to have your script sent to hundreds of agents, managers, producers, and development executives around town.
No other service offers writers a comprehensive community in which to hone their craft. The ScriptFunnel Forum is a place where writers can come together to discuss all things related to screenwriting.
Every week, ScriptFunnel compiles the most significant articles, blog entries and spec sales into a newsletter for all of its members ensuring they are receiving the most important information out there.
Does ScriptFunnel take any sort of finder's fee?
It depends. If you submit your script for one of our coverage services and it receives a favorable grade by our Analysts, we will personally notify Agents, Managers, Producers, Studios, and Executives of your script and do our best to get it sold and land you representation. In cases such as these, ScriptFunnel does take a small percentage of any sale or option that we help facilitate or that comes as a result of ScriptFunnel's management services. Unlike other places, we have a vested interest in your success.
However, if you simply want to list your project on ScriptFunnel for Hollywood Professionals to view and discover, then we do not take any type of commission or finder's fee. We simply ask that you inform us of any success achieved from using ScriptFunnel's services so that we can congratulate you.
Writer Questions:
Why should I get coverage?
Coverage will give you the necessary feedback as to whether or not your script is ready to be seen by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of your screenplay. Your material typically gets one shot so you want it in the best condition possible before exposing it to the community. Not to mention, our comprehensive coverage reports are excellent tools for the editing and rewriting process.
How do I get coverage for FREE?
If your script receives a "Consider", "Recommend", or "Greenlight" grade from both of your Analysts, and you agree to have your project represented by our company, you will be refunded the full amount that you paid to submit your script.
Are ScriptFunnel Readers experienced and reliable?
Absolutely. All of our readers are currently working in the film and television industry. Our readers are not students or out of work writers. They are experienced script analysts who have prior experience reading for the major talent agencies and production companies.
How long does the coverage process take?
For the typical screenplay, turnaround time is 7 to 14 business days. Of course, the 25 page TV sitcom often has a quicker turnaround than the 180 page epic feature.
What forms of payment does ScriptFunnel accept?
All transactions are done through Paypal to ensure maximum protection of your information. Paypal accepts Credit Card, Debit Card, Direct Debit or Bank Wires. Note: You do not need to have a Paypal account to submit your script.
