About Us

Our Goal(s)
1. To help talented and undiscovered writers achieve their dream of breaking in to film and television by aiding in the development of their material and eventually getting them read by the top agents, executives, and producers in town.
2. To be the number one resource for Hollywood professionals seeking hot and available material and unrepresented writers.

Our Team
A literary manager, a television executive, and a feature producer walk in to a bar... We know, it sounds like the beginning of a horrible inside joke, but in reality its the begining to the story of how ScriptFunnel was born.
The three, combined with a staff of extremely experienced script analysts, a few interns, and a handful of PHP and HTML books, are single handedly determined to break down the barriers separating deserving creative folk from the Hollywood Insiders. We believe that there exists an entire wave of amazing talent and material ripe for discovery, and we're determined to find it.

How we do it
Because agents and executives are busy shepherding their own clients and projects, they're left with very little time to spend sifting through the unsolicited stacks of feature and television scripts. That's where we come in.
At its basic level, ScriptFunnel is a Film and Television coverage service. Writers submit their completed screenplays to ScriptFunnel, which then assigns two experienced Analysts to read and prepare individual coverage reports on the script. Scripts that receive positive coverage are offered the opportunity to be featured on the site for Industry Professionals to discover. In addition, ScriptFunnel will send notifications to agents, managers, creative executives, producers, and others who are seeking new material and are interested in meeting with undiscovered talent.
If a script receives unfavorable coverage, the writer is still offered the opportunity to post the script for Professionals to view. But the best part is that the writer is offered the rare chance to find out exactly how Industry Professionals react to their script. (Tip: Coverage reports are excellent tools in the rewriting process.) These coverage reports are the exact same types of reports that agencies, production companies, and studios use to determine if a script will ever be read by anyone of importance. Under normal circumstances you are never allowed to see the coverage, until now!

What else?
By submitting your material to ScriptFunnel first, you get the benefits of submitting your script all across town, but with none of the drawbacks. This is because worthy scripts are pushed hard by ScriptFunnel and its team to get read by professionals around town; while material that is "Passed" on stays between you and the ScriptFunnel team. No one else will ever see your reports unless you want them to. What's best is that your script is read by two Analysts, nearly completely eliminating the chance that your script is passed on when it shouldn't be. In addition, you can use your coverage reports to fix those things that our experienced Readers deemed problem areas. They'll even provide you with suggestions for making your script better.
(A word of caution: Our Analysts are trained to be unbiased, constructive, and brutally honest.)

Don't want coverage, but want to get read?
You still aren't convinced, huh? We also offer a "Listing" service where for a small fee you can list your script in our searchable script database. Executives searching for material will be able to view your script's logline, and even download the actual script should it peak their interest (provided you make it available for download).
